The piston ring provide a sliding seal between the outer edge of the piston and the inner ege of the cylinder preventing the fuel/air mixture in the chamber from leaking, hence maintaining the pressure in the chamber during combustion.

AEC uses high strength ductile iron for its top ring / compression ring for precise cylinder sealing and optimum durability. The inherent properties of our material allow these rings to maintain sealing integrity at extreme pressures.

The second ring offers durability and superior oil control. Our unique face design allows this ring to work as a scraper, hence reducing the possibility of oil migration into the combustion chamber.

Finally, our control rings designed along with the piston, effectively permit lubrication of the rings, pistons and the inner walls without oil migrating into the combustion chamber.
